About the Artist

Tia Vellani is an artist with a background in music and genetics. She explores connections between art, science, social responsibility, and emotional well-being in her studio in Kilkenny, Ireland.

She produces multimedia projects in collaboration with scientists, dancers, photographers, musicians, and artists. She creates sculptures, paintings, drawings, installations, tapestries, digital art, and musical compositions. Her works have been exhibited in Europe and North America. She speaks internationally about the relationships between art and science.

She is a member of Visual Artists Ireland, the Irish Music Rights Organisation, Artlinks, and the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland.
